2 Corinthians

這是我第三次要到你們那裡去。「憑兩三個人的口作見證，句句都要定準。」

This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.

我從前到你們那裡，第二次離開以後，曾預先說過，如今不在你們那裡，仍舊預先說：我若再來，必不寬容那些從前犯罪的人，和其餘的人。

I told you before, and foretell you, as if I were present, the second time; and being absent now I write to them which heretofore have sinned, and to all other, that, if I come again, I will not spare:

這乃因你們要找基督在我裡面說話的憑據；他在你們身上不是軟弱的，在你們中間是有大能的。

Since ye seek a proof of Christ speaking in me, which to you-ward is not weak, but is mighty in you.

他因軟弱被釘在十字架上，卻因神的大能仍然活著。我們也是這樣同他軟弱，但因神向你們所顯的大能，也必與他同活。

For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you.

你們要自己省察有沒有信心，也要自己試驗；豈不知你們若不是可棄絕的，就有耶穌基督在你們心裡嗎？

Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?

我卻盼望你們曉得我們不是可棄絕的人。

But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates.

我們求神，叫你們一件惡事都不做；這不是要顯明我們是蒙悅納的，是要你們行善，就算我們像是被棄絕的也罷。

Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates.

因為我們凡所行的，不能敵擋真理，只能扶助真理。

For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.

我們軟弱，你們剛強，我們就歡喜了；並且我們所求的，就是你們作完全人。

For we are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, even your perfection.

所以，我不在你們那裡的時候，把這話寫給你們，是要等我到的時候，不用照著主所給我的權柄嚴厲地待你們；這權柄是為造就人，不是為敗壞人的。

Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord hath given me to edification, and not to destruction.

弟兄們，我還有話說：你們要喜樂，要作完全人，要受安慰，要同心合意，要彼此和睦；如此，仁愛和平的神必與你們同在。

Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

你們要親嘴問安，彼此務要聖潔。

Greet one another with an holy kiss.

眾聖徒都問你們安。

All the saints salute you.

願主耶穌基督的恩惠、神的慈愛、聖靈的感動，常與你們眾人同在！

The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen.
