2 Corinthians

弟兄們，我把神賜給馬其頓眾教會的恩告訴你們，

Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia;

就是他們在患難中受大試煉的時候，仍有滿足的快樂，在極窮之間，還格外顯出他們樂捐的厚恩。

How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.

我可以證明，他們是按著力量，而且也過了力量，自己甘心樂意地捐助，

For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves;

再三地求我們，准他們在這供給聖徒的恩情上有分；

Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.

並且他們所做的，不但照我們所想望的，更照神的旨意，先把自己獻給主，又歸附了我們。

And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.

因此，我勸提多，既然在你們中間開始了這慈惠的事，就當辦成了。

Insomuch that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you the same grace also.

你們既然在信心、口才、知識、熱心，並你們對我們的愛心上，都有長進，就當在這慈惠的事上，也多多地長進。

Therefore, as ye abound in every thing, in faith, and utterance, and knowledge, and in all diligence, and in your love to us, see that ye abound in this grace also.

我說這話，不是吩咐你們，乃是藉著別人的殷勤，試驗你們愛心的實在。

I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love.

你們知道我們主耶穌基督的恩典：他本來富足，卻為你們成了貧窮，叫你們因他的貧窮，可以成為富足。

For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.

我在這事上把我的意見告訴你們，是與你們有益的。你們從去年就先起首，並且也先有這心願，如今當把這事辦成了；

And herein I give my advice: for this is expedient for you, who have begun before, not only to do, but also to be forward a year ago.

要照你們所有的拿出來完成這事，既有願做的心，也當照你們所有的完成它。

Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have.

因為人若有願做的心，必蒙悅納，是照他所有的，並不是照他所無的。

For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.

我原不是要別人輕省，你們受累，乃要均平；

For I mean not that other men be eased, and ye burdened:

就是在目前的時候，你們的有餘可以補他們的不足，他們的有餘也可以補你們的不足，這樣就均平了。

But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may be equality:

如經上所記：「多收的也沒有餘，少收的也沒有缺。」

As it is written, He that had gathered much had nothing over; and he that had gathered little had no lack.

感謝神，感動提多的心，叫他待你們殷勤，像我一樣；

But thanks be to God, which put the same earnest care into the heart of Titus for you.

他固然是領受了我們的請求，但他極其殷勤，是自己甘心往你們那裡去。

For indeed he accepted the exhortation; but being more forward, of his own accord he went unto you.

我們還打發一位弟兄和他同去；這人在福音上受眾教會的稱讚。

And we have sent with him the brother, whose praise is in the gospel throughout all the churches;

不但如此，他也被眾教會選派，和我們同行，在主有榮耀的事上，又表明我們樂意的心；

And not that only, but who was also chosen of the churches to travel with us with this grace, which is administered by us to the glory of the same Lord, and declaration of your ready mind:

我們謹慎如此辦理，不叫我們管理這厚捐的事，被人毀謗；

Avoiding this, that no man should blame us in this abundance which is administered by us:

因為我們顧念那在主面前和在人面前所看為美的事。

Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.

我們又打發一位弟兄同去；這人凡事我們屢次試驗他，知道他是殷勤的，現在更加殷勤，因為他甚信服你們。

And we have sent with them our brother, whom we have oftentimes proved diligent in many things, but now much more diligent, upon the great confidence which I have in you.

論到提多，他是我的同伴，一同為你們勞碌；論到那兩位弟兄，他們是眾教會的使者，是基督的榮耀。

Whether any do enquire of Titus, he is my partner and fellowhelper concerning you: or our brethren be enquired of, they are the messengers of the churches, and the glory of Christ.

所以，你們務要在眾教會面前，將你們愛心的憑據，和我為你們所誇的理由，都表明出來，給那些人（就是使者們）看。

Wherefore shew ye to them, and before the churches, the proof of your love, and of our boasting on your behalf.
