（上行（或作登階，下同）之詩。）我在急難中求告耶和華，他就應允我。

[A Song of degrees.] In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me.

耶和華啊，求你救我脫離說謊的嘴唇和詭詐的舌頭！

Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, {and} from a deceitful tongue.

詭詐的舌頭啊，要給你甚麼呢？要拿甚麼加給你呢？

What shall be given unto thee? or what shall be done unto thee, thou false tongue? {What shall be given...: or, What shall the deceitful tongue give unto thee? or, what shall it profit thee?} {done: Heb. added}

就是勇士的利箭和羅騰木（小樹名，松類）的炭火。

Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper. {Sharp...: or, It is as the sharp arrows of the mighty man, with coals of juniper}

我寄居在米設，住在基達帳棚之中，有禍了！

Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, {that} I dwell in the tents of Kedar!

我與那恨惡和睦的人許久同住。

My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace.

我願和睦，但我發言，他們就要爭戰。

I {am for} peace: but when I speak, they {are} for war. {for peace: or, a man of peace}
