Isaiah

「雅各家，稱為以色列名下的，從猶大水中流出來的，當聽我言！你們指著耶和華的名起誓，提及以色列的神，卻不憑誠實，不憑公義。

Hear ye this, O house of Jacob, which are called by the name of Israel, and are come forth out of the waters of Judah, which swear by the name of the LORD, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness.

他們稱自己是聖城的人，是倚靠以色列神的；萬軍之耶和華是他的名。

For they call themselves of the holy city, and stay themselves upon the God of Israel; The LORD of hosts is his name.

「我從古時說明先前的事，出自我口，我也說出來，忽然做成，那些事就實現了。

I have declared the former things from the beginning; and they went forth out of my mouth, and I shewed them; I did them suddenly, and they came to pass.

因為我知道你是頑梗的，你的頸項是鐵筋，你的額是銅的，

Because I knew that thou art obstinate, and thy neck is an iron sinew, and thy brow brass;

所以我從古時將這些事說明給你；在它們未成就以前，我就告訴了你，免得你說：「這些事是我的偶像做的，是我雕刻的偶像和鑄造的偶像所命的。」

I have even from the beginning declared it to thee; before it came to pass I shewed it thee: lest thou shouldest say, Mine idol hath done them, and my graven image, and my molten image, hath commanded them.

你已聽見，現在你看見了這一切；你既然看見，豈不宣告嗎？從今以後，我將新事，就是你所不知道的隱秘事，指示你。

Thou hast heard, see all this; and will not ye declare it? I have shewed thee new things from this time, even hidden things, and thou didst not know them.

這些事是現今造的，並非古時的，在今日以前你也未曾聽見；免得你說：「這是我早已知道的。」

They are created now, and not from the beginning; even before the day when thou heardest them not; lest thou shouldest say, Behold, I knew them.

你未曾聽見，你也不知道；你的耳朵從來沒有開通；因為我知道你行事極其不忠，你自從出胎就稱為悖逆的。

Yea, thou heardest not; yea, thou knewest not; yea, from that time that thine ear was not opened: for I knew that thou wouldest deal very treacherously, and wast called a transgressor from the womb.

「我為我的名，暫且含怒；為我的稱讚，向你隱忍，不將你剪除。

For my name's sake will I defer mine anger, and for my praise will I refrain for thee, that I cut thee not off.

看哪，我熔煉你，卻不像熔煉銀子；我在苦難的爐中熬煉了你。

Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction.

我為自己的緣故，為自己的緣故行這事；我必不容我的名被褻瀆；我的榮耀，我必不讓給假神。

For mine own sake, even for mine own sake, will I do it: for how should my name be polluted? and I will not give my glory unto another.

「雅各和我所召的以色列啊，你們要聽我言：我是首先的，也是末後的，惟有我。

Hearken unto me, O Jacob and Israel, my called; I am he; I am the first, I also am the last.

我的手立了地的根基，我的右手鋪張諸天；我一招呼天地，它們就一同出現。

Mine hand also hath laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together.

你們都要聚集，要聽；他們中間誰說過這些事呢？耶和華所愛的人必成就耶和華所喜悅的事，要攻擊巴比倫，他的膀臂也要加在迦勒底人身上。

All ye, assemble yourselves, and hear; which among them hath declared these things? The LORD hath loved him: he will do his pleasure on Babylon, and his arm shall be on the Chaldeans.

惟有我說過，也召了他；我帶他來，他的道路必然亨通。

I, even I, have spoken; yea, I have called him: I have brought him, and he shall make his way prosperous.

「你們要就近我，聽這話：我從起初並沒有在隱秘處說話；從那事發生的時候，我就在那裡。」現在主耶和華並他的靈差遣了我。

Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there am I: and now the Lord GOD, and his Spirit, hath sent me.

你的救贖主，以色列的聖者，耶和華如此說：「我是耶和華你的神，教訓你、使你得益處，引導你當行的路。

Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.

甚願你素來聽從我的命令！你的平安就如河水，你的公義就如海浪，

O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! then had thy peace been as a river, and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea:

你的後裔也如沙粒，你所生的也如沙粒中的細石；他的名必在我面前不被剪除，也不滅絕。」

Thy seed also had been as the sand, and the offspring of thy bowels like the gravel thereof; his name should not have been cut off nor destroyed from before me.

你們要從巴比倫出去，從迦勒底人中逃脫；你們要以歡呼的聲音傳揚說，要傳出這話到地極；說：「耶和華救贖了他的僕人雅各！」

Go ye forth of Babylon, flee ye from the Chaldeans, with a voice of singing declare ye, tell this, utter it even to the end of the earth; say ye, The LORD hath redeemed his servant Jacob.

他們在曠野，在乾旱之地行路，他們並不缺水；他為他們從磐石中使水流出，分裂磐石，水就湧出。

And they thirsted not when he led them through the deserts: he caused the waters to flow out of the rock for them: he clave the rock also, and the waters gushed out.

耶和華說：惡人必沒有平安！

There is no peace, saith the LORD, unto the wicked.
