Isaiah

耶和華的手並非縮短，不能拯救；他的耳並非發沉，不能聽見；

Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:

但你們的罪孽使你們與神隔絕；你們的罪惡使他掩面不聽你們。

But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.

因為你們的手被血污染，你們的指頭被罪孽污染；你們的嘴唇說謊言，你們的舌頭出惡語。

For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness.

無人憑公義起訴，也無人憑誠實辯護；他們倚靠虛妄，說謊言；懷奸惡，生虛假。

None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity.

他們孵毒蛇蛋，結蜘蛛網；人吃他們的蛋就死；蛋被踏破，蛋裡出蝮蛇。

They hatch cockatrice' eggs, and weave the spider's web: he that eateth of their eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper.

他們所結的網不能做衣服，他們所作的不能遮蓋自身；他們的行為都是罪孽的行為，手所作的都是強暴的事。

Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands.

他們的腳跑去作惡，他們急忙流無辜人的血；他們的意念是罪孽的意念，毀滅和破壞在他們的路上。

Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths.

他們不知道平安的道，所行的事上沒有公平；他們為自己修彎曲的路，凡行這路的都不知道平安。

The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace.

因此，公平離我們遠，公義追不上我們；我們等候光亮，卻是黑暗；等候光明，卻行幽暗。

Therefore is judgment far from us, neither doth justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness.

我們摸索牆壁，如同瞎子；我們摸索，如同無眼的人；我們晌午絆跌，如在黃昏一樣；我們在肥壯人中，如同死人。

We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at noonday as in the night; we are in desolate places as dead men.

我們咆哮都如熊，哀鳴都如鴿子；我們等候公平，卻是沒有；等候救恩，卻遠離我們。

We roar all like bears, and mourn sore like doves: we look for judgment, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us.

我們的過犯在你面前甚多，我們的罪惡作見證告我們，因我們的過犯與我們同在；我們的罪孽，我們都知道。

For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them;

我們違背悖逆了耶和華，背離了我們的神，說欺壓的話，起叛逆的心，說謊言，心中想像說謊言的話。

In transgressing and lying against the LORD, and departing away from our God, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood.

公平轉而退後，公義站在遠處，真實在街上跌倒，正直不能進入。

And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.

真實不見了，離惡的人反成了被擄的對象。耶和華看見沒有公平，甚為不悅；

Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and the LORD saw it, and it displeased him that there was no judgment.

他看見沒有一人，驚奇沒有人代求，便用他自己的膀臂施行拯救，以公義扶持自己；

And he saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore his arm brought salvation unto him; and his righteousness, it sustained him.

他以公義為甲胄穿在身上，以拯救為頭盔戴在頭上，以報仇為衣服穿上，以熱心為外袍遮蓋自己。

For he put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon his head; and he put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloke.

他必按各人的行為施報，向他的仇敵發怒，向他的敵人報仇，向海島施報。

According to their deeds, accordingly he will repay, fury to his adversaries, recompence to his enemies; to the islands he will repay recompence.

這樣，人從西方必敬畏耶和華的名，從日出之地也必敬畏他的榮耀；因為仇敵必來如急流的河，被耶和華的氣吹動。

So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him.

必有一位救贖主來到錫安，來到雅各族中那些離過犯的人那裡。這是耶和華說的。

And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob, saith the LORD.

耶和華說：「至於我與他們所立的約，乃是這樣：我加給你的靈，並我賜給你的話，必不離你的口，也不離你後裔的口，又不離你後裔之後裔的口，從今時直到永遠；這是耶和華說的。」

As for me, this is my covenant with them, saith the LORD; My spirit that is upon thee, and my words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seed's seed, saith the LORD, from henceforth and for ever.
